Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes we pride ourselves on our personal service and attention to detail. By doing so, we work on an appointment only basis so we can have that one-to-one experience and you get the boutique to yourselves.
How long will my appointment last and how many people can I bring with me?
On a Saturday our appointments are one hour only just because it is the busiest day of the week and we have a lot of people to manage.
During the week if it’s a bridal appointment we can allow up to an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on how many people we have booked in for that day. Normally though our appointments are an hour.
We have seating available for up to 4 people, you may bring more with you but they would have to stand as long as that’s okay with them.
Can I bring children with me?
Yes you can as long as they are supervised at all times. We would discourage this though as children can be slightly distracting, and we wouldn’t want anything deterring the spotlight off you as it’s such a special moment when choosing a dress. Obviously we know sometimes it’s necessary to bring them and that’s completely fine.
What do I need to bring with me?
We recommend nude seamless underwear as most of our gowns would be suited to flesh coloured undergarments. With the majority of our dresses bras are not needed but if you would feel more comfortable wearing one to your first appointment, that is absolutely fine. We would however recommend when you’re having a fitting with our Seamstress, not to wear one as our dresses, are all boned, lined and cupped so you won’t need one.
What is your price range?
Our Bridal prices start from, sale items ranging £150- £899. Bridal dresses to order ranging £899-£3000.
We also offer our brides, The option of paying 50% deposit and 50% when the gown arrives in up to 22 weeks later. Or or we can set up a monthly interest free payment plan.
Our Prom dresses prices start from, sale items ranging £49-£350. Prom dresses to order ranging £250-£700. With our prom dresses it is payment in full.
How far in advance do you clients usually start looking for dresses?
We would say that it is down to personal preference, for bridal we have brides looking 2 to 3 years in advance. Although one year is plenty time, our bridal gowns at the moment are taking up to a maximum of 22 weeks to be made and delivered.
However if you would like one of our stock gowns this is also fine and then there’s no rush at all to start looking as we can turn around alterations within two weeks if we have to.
For prom dresses I would recommend starting to look as soon as the schools go back in September as it first come first served for our school exclusivity list, once that style has gone for your school it will not be sold even in another colour.
What sizes do you stock?
For bridal our sizes start at a UK10 and go up to a UK32 in store, however we can order from a UK4 up to a Uk50 but there is a surcharge for any dresses ordered over a size uk28.
For prom or sizes start at a UK8 and go up to a UK22 in store, however dresses can be ordered from a size UK4.
Do you do alterations?
Personally we don’t, as we are a small boutique we have no room for an in-house Seamstress, However we do work alongside three amazing seamstresses who will alter your dresses at an extra cost and we do not get involved in their pricing.
Will you store my dress?
For our brides, The answer is yes. If you buy a stock dress or you order one we will store it for you until you go to alterations that’s no problem at all. Once all alterations are done, The dress will be steamed and ironed and you can pick up directly from us a few days before your wedding.
For our prom girls, if you buy a stock dress payment is required in full and you take it with you on the day, if you order a dress we will store it until you are able to come and try it on and make sure it fits.
My wedding is abroad how do I get my dress there?
Did you know we offer a boxing service where we have our own branded aeroplane bridal boxes which we will pack your dress in for you ready to fly these are only £45. We also offer a dry cleaning service for after your big day to get any unwanted stains out.
What do I do about a hoop?
For our brides we rent out our bridal hoops, this is just £50 and you get £25 back when you return it.
